The range
Three seasons on basketball floors taught me to read a play early enough to be pointed at it. Everything else in this book came from the same habit — turning up early, learning the room, and shooting it like it matters.
The range is the point. Most photographers hand a club or a brand one thing. I can shoot the media day, cover the season, light the apparel drop that sells the merch and plate the food at the sponsor night — and make all of it look like it came from one place.
